The new Naples Fire Station No. 1 Replacement includes Fire Administration, the City Provided Fire Response and the County provided EMS Rescue Response. The building will be approximately 21,659 SF, two story structure. The project will replace an existing fire station located in Naples, Florida on Eighth Avenue South and Eighth Street South.
The base program for the Fire Department Administration / Fire Response and EMS Rescue Response includes three (3) Drive Thru Apparatus Bays and associated Apparatus Support Spaces, Battalion Chief Office, Bunk, & Restroom, General facility functions such as, Kitchen, Dining, Report Writing, Physical Agility, Dormitories, Restrooms & Showers, and Equipment / Utility / Support spaces, Emergency Operations Center, EOC Media room, and associated AV / Server room.
The station is to be designed to meet the new FEMA FIRM map elevations, which require the building to be raised approximately 7′-0″ from street level. This will support the continuity of this vital emergency response function, both during normal operations and in times of natural disasters.
