Sergio Baca is an Associate Vice President at Architects Design Group. He joined ADG in 1985 and is one of the firm’s longest tenured employees. Sergio has been involved in the architecture profession since 1973. As a result, he has worked on a wide range of building projects.
Sergio’s current responsibilities are focused on the technical aspects of ADG’s projects including code reviews and the development of building envelope construction techniques. He serves as the survivability expert for many of ADG’s public safety projects. Mr. Baca works with the team throughout the duration of projects to ensure all of the code requirements are met. He is also instrumental in ensuring specifications for the project are complete and meet the stringent requirements for essential facilities. As ADG remains a national leader in the very specialized field of designing survivable facilities, Sergio’s area of focus is instrumental in the success of the firm’s projects.
Additionally, upon graduating from vocational school at age 15, Mr. Baca began working in different architectural firms in Mexico. While working under some of Mexico’s best known architects, Sergio gained international experience working on the design and construction administration of large-scale projects. Sergio’s academic credentials include a Bachelor of Architecture from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. Notably, Sergio Baca is also the recipient of the prestigious Gold Medal award from his native state for his efforts in working with the Mexican Community within the Unites States.
