ADG’s experience and understanding of emergency operations and communications facilities centers on the recognition that there are specialized spaces associated with this type of project and the high level of expertise needed to design a facility with these components. Operations require specialized systems such as security, audio / visual, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical systems, as well as redundant back-up capacity for all these components to function when primary sources of power, data, heating, and cooling fail. These systems require conformance to a variety of specialized code requirements and guidelines.
ADG’s familiarity with hardened, critical facility design and security requirements provides the leadership necessary to assist with developing the delivery options (new vs renovation), as well as produce concepts, layouts, engineering systems coordination, and budget / schedule / cost estimates at all milestones of the design process. For each project, ADG reviews all design and construction documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with FEMA guidelines.
