Kissimmee, Florida (August 2020) – The Kissimmee Police Department celebrated the ribbon cutting ceremony of their brand new 22,940-SF training facility. The department dedicated their new training facility to the memory of Sergeant Sam Howard and Officer Matthew Baxter, two officers who killed in the line of duty three years ago.
The new facility includes a 20-lane, 50-yard indoor firing range, secured ammo and target storage room / workshop, gun cleaning room with compressed air hose drops, 40-person training classroom, defensive tactics room with floor and wall padding, as well as office space for both police and fire training administration.
