Architects Design Group was contracted to prepare the overall masterplan for the City of Cocoa Beach Municipal Complex, which included a new 19,000-SF city hall, a new 25,000-SF police department, and a new 3-story, 250 car municipal parking structure. ADG was also selected to prepare the design-build criteria packages of all three of these entities.
The three components of the new Cocoa Beach Municipal included a new art museum as part of the city hall, a new art walk as part of the parking structure, and a new civic green space inclusive of an amphitheater, all of these components work together to create a new civic center for the city. The city applied for cultural grants to help fund the art museum and art walk components of the complex.
