Columbia Community Center & Police Substation

ADG’s role on the Columbia Community Center and Police Substation involved providing a spatial needs assessment, master planning, design services, construction administration, and interior design services. The first component of this project includes a community resource and training center. The second component of this project includes a substation for the Columbia Police Department and encompasses space for the criminal investigations division, evidence drop-off, processing, and storage.

 

The Community Center is a 6,900-SF facility, featuring a large community room with moveable partitions that can separate it into three smaller rooms. A large conference room, three offices, kitchen, and support services space are also included. The Police Substation is a 1,400-SF facility with a lobby, small conference room, two patrol offices, an assistant patrol office, and support space. The exterior areas include parking, playground, patio, walkway to bridge, and a walking trail.
