Deltona Fire Station No. 65

In response to the population growth in the north section of Deltona, ADG was selected to provide architectural services for the design of Deltona Fire Station No. 65. This 24/7 Essential Facility was designed to house the Deltona Fire Department and to include administrative offices, meeting / training rooms, dayroom, and three-bay apparatus area. The facility design also included a physical agility, library, fully equipped kitchen and sleeping quarters.

 

The two-story Deltona Fire Station No. 65 is a 13,800-SF facility and is designed to LEED silver certification. A concrete masonry unit exterior wall system was selected with hurricane impact fenestrations. A series of Photovoltaic Panels, paid through a federal grant, are incorporated in the design providing power for critical areas of the building functions and meeting the LEED criteria combined with high efficiency heating, ventilating and air conditioning; enhanced insulation and windows made the facility environmentally responsive. The emergency generator provided redundancy power for the entire facility and for all functions of the building making it survivable for up to 48 hours of operations. All the interior finishes meet the LEED criteria for recycling this facility is a certified LEED Silver facility.
