Architects Design Group was selected by the city to determine current and future space needs, prepare options for replacement of the facilities, and determine complete project costs for the various development options. After careful analysis of the project needs and investigations for redevelopment of city-owned property close to the existing facilities, ADG concluded a two-phase approach to resolving project needs. The existing facility remained operational while a new complex was built on the nearby parcel. The new facility provided space for the administrative and operations division of public works / utilities. Phase two called for the renovation of the existing facilities for fleet maintenance and a purchasing warehouse.
