Seminole County Sheriff 911 Renovation

The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center is responsible for managing all incoming emergency calls for law enforcement services in unincorporated Seminole County and five municipalities. This includes dispatch services for the police departments of Altamonte Springs, Casselberry, Lake Mary, Sanford, Oviedo, and Longwood. As part of an extensive remodeling initiative, the center aimed to enhance its operational capabilities by incorporating additional call takers, dispatchers, teletype operators, and supervisor positions on the dispatch floor. The renovation project also included the creation of administrative offices and support areas.

One of the unique challenges faced during the remodeling process was the necessity to maintain continuous 24/7 service while implementing construction activities. Despite these operational constraints, the remodeling project was successfully executed, ensuring that the Communication Center remained fully functional throughout.

ADG played a crucial role in this endeavor by meticulously preparing the space needs assessment and planning for the renovation phases, closely with the users and stakeholders. Their expertise contributed to the seamless integration of new facilities within the existing operational framework, enhancing the overall efficiency and capacity of the Communications Center.

The newly renovated space is approximately 5,900 SF and this thoughtfully revamped area not only meets modern standards but also reflects a commitment to creating an enhanced and functional environment to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center.
