St. Charles County EOC and 911 Center

As part of a design-build team, ADG served as the architect of record on the new 32,000-SF EOC and 911 Facility. It was designed to accommodate the department of emergency management, emergency communications, emergency communications radio services, information services, a 46-rack data center, and various facility support spaces. Additionally, this facility was designed to be a compatible structure adjacent to the existing law enforcement campus, meeting stringent survivability and functional criteria. The EOC building was designed to incorporate local materials and building materials found on the existing adjacent facilities. There are many attributes of this essential facility that are unique and beyond the typical office building construction. The nature of functions dictated the need to maintain operations during natural and man-made events.

In addition to the stand-alone EOC and 911 facility for St. Charles County, this project also included the design of an 8,000-SF addition to the O’Fallon Police Department’s Evidence Storage Building and a new 6,300-SF, ten-bay fleet storage building on campus. The site work to support the new EOC and 911 facility functions, as well as the existing law enforcement functions, included public parking, relocated helipad, protected utility yard, and a new communications tower.
