St. Louis Police Precincts No. 1 and 3 Architects Design Group

St. Louis Police Precincts No. 1 and 3

Architects Design Group, in association with local architect M+H Architects, was hired to provide a prototype design for various police precincts within the county. The existing stations are in leased, aging buildings which need to be replaced to accommodate a better workflow, technology, and a combination of increased staff. The new precincts are designed to be one-story, approximately 15,000 SF in size on sites ranging between 4 and 6 acres. Program elements include public entry and community room, booking and intake, interview spaces, uniform patrol, police administration, sally port functions and misc. storage, physical agility, locker, and toilet room facilities.

The precincts are being designed to expand as the need arises for additional uniform patrol personnel. The secured building includes access control systems, CCTV, and a limited amount of a/v systems and components. Sites are divided into public access areas, secure staff areas, stormwater retention, and setback buffers. It is important to note that these projects utilized 50% MWBE participation.
