The City of Tampa selected Architects Design Group (ADG) as part of a design-build team to provide programming, planning, estimating and design to consolidate the City’s Evidence unit, Forensic unit, various TPD work groups and vehicular storage into a single facility. Currently these functions are spread in numerous locations throughout the City as TPD has adapt to limited space and aging facilities over time.
The adaptive reuse and addition to a City owned 38,000-SF warehouse will provide space on a single site to accommodate Tampa Police Department’s Evidence control section, Forensic and impound lot functions including the required labs, evidence processing and storage to serve the Department’s current and future needs. The PD’s vehicle impound lot is also being relocated to the site, which will be able to accommodate over 150 vehicles.
