Windermere, Florida (January 2021) – The City of Windermere celebrated the ground breaking of their new Police Headquarters and Municipal Facility. The new 15,000-SF consolidated building includes space for town administration, police, and public works. This hardened facility’s design incorporates redundant systems, such as emergency power that will permit it to remain fully functional and ensure continued operational capability. This municipal facility was designed to be community-friendly in keeping with the Town of Windermere’s commitment to the premise of community policing. It also incorporates a community meeting and training / conference facilities in the non-secure area of the buildings.
