Orlando, Florida (February 2021) – The City of Orlando and the Orlando Fire Department celebrated the ribbon cutting ceremony for their new Fire Station No. 9. This project was one of four fire stations the city contracted ADG to design. Each of the fire stations have a unique architectural style responding the specific surrounding of each station.
The first completed is Orlando Fire Station No. 9 with four apparatus bays. The new station was also designed to meet stringent survivability, functional criteria, and to create civic architecture that fosters pride in the community. Additionally, With over 270 photovoltaic panels on the roof of Station No. 9, the building has enough electricity to achieve LEED Net-Zero status for the station.
